Hi There! Thank you for visiting Melissa Hartigan Photography – CT Maternity Newborn Photographer, and browsing around my recent blog post of Stefanie’s and Jerry’s beautiful maternity photos and of their sweet baby girl Madison Avery’s newborn session. For those who are visiting for the first time, welcome. I’m a CT Maternity Newborn Photographer with a professional photography studio located in Coventry, CT. I specialize in maternity, newborn, baby milestone, children and family photography. Expecting a baby is such an exciting time in your life, and documenting your pregnancy and newborn moments is such a wonderful way to celebrate bringing your baby into the world. Maternity and Newborn photography is among my favorite of sessions to photograph. I love to capture special events in people’s lives and give them heirloom quality photographs they can cherish forever of their pregnancy, new baby as well as a family. When a client schedules their maternity and newborn sessions with MHP, I am documenting their beautiful moments as new parents. I am so happy to be a part of these memorable maternity and newborn moments for this new family of three from New London County. Here is a little peek into Stefanie’s Outside Maternity Session and Madison’s Newborn Session captured in my studio.

Family of Three Belly & Baby Photos – CT Maternity Newborn Photography

Stefanie and Jerry are one of the many excited couples that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and photographing over the 10 years – a decade! – that I’ve been photographing bellies and babies. They booked the Heirloom Maternity Session to capture their pregnancy pictures with as well as reserved their newborn session for when their sweet baby girl arrived.

Loving the autumn season and all the warm colors the season brings, Stefanie wanted to capture their maternity session outdoors during the fall. Stefanie was glowing during her session and she really looked stunning in the wardrobe she selected to wear. Pregnancy looked absolutely amazing on her and I could tell dad was smitten with the mama-to-be of his baby.

Connecticut Maternity Photographer with Maternity Dresses

Maternity clients are always welcome to browse the studio wardrobe and borrow anything during their maternity sessions. The studio wardrobe is carefully curated with beautiful maternity gowns to fit the couture and boutique style of maternity photography. Maternity clients have always appreciated having a selection of dresses and gowns to choose from for use during their sessions, and I am always happy to include these as part of scheduling your maternity session with Melissa Hartigan Photography. Stefanie borrowed the blue form fitting maternity gown from the closet that I fill with beautiful maternity gowns and dresses from my favorite maternity photography boutique Sew Trendy Accessories.

Madison Avery Posed Newborn Photography – Baby girl Eggplant Purple Cream Newborn Pictures

Madison Avery was so good during her session and I captured so many adorable pictures of her all snuggled up, sweetly posed and sleepy. She looked so precious with all of the eggplant purple colors paired with cream-colored tones that mom choose for her newborn photos. In one of the setups, we used pumpkins that mom brought as a special way to tie-in her baby shower décor that was used to celebrate the anticipated arrival of their baby girl. For the family photo we used a special floral wrap and headband that Mom and Dad had brought from home with them. She looks absolutely darling, and so loved, all swaddled up in the floral wrap and snuggled in her mom and dad’s arms. The pumpkin set up was a special little remembrance to Mom’s baby shower with Madison as the pumpkins were displayed as baby shower décor.

Stefanie and Jerry are both retired from the U.S. Navy. They share a love for sports and are huge sports fans watching and supporting their favorite teams and players, and they thoroughly enjoy living healthy life style. Relaxing in their downtime is their favorite way to spend their days off as they are both very ‘go with the flow’, easy going people. They are just the sweetest couple and I enjoyed meeting them and capturing their maternity and newborn moments.

Melissa Hartigan Photography has a beautifully curated newborn wardrobe to style and dress each newborn baby with. As a newborn photographer in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts, I am always buying and adding new and beautiful knitted-handmade props to my newborn and baby prop collection. Clients always have access to these props for their newborn and baby milestone sessions. Props are always pre-selected based off the color choices that you choose prior to your session, and set-ups are then designed around your color choices. Everything is always prepared and ready to begin once you arrive for your newborn and baby milestone sessions. I am always happy to pre-select client desired props from my prop collection to include in your session setups.
